The concept took root in 2008, when Château Laurier in Quebec City became the first hotel to offer self-serve wine by the glass. A simple yet innovative idea: letting guests enjoy a glass outside the usual restaurant or bar hours.
The project also gave other hotels a concrete example to follow. Since then, the approach has spread throughout the province.
Today, self-serve wine by the glass still lets guests taste at their own pace, in a simple, elegant and intuitive experience.
