A tasting wall for a fourth-generation wine business
Founded in 1944 in Scarsdale, New York, Zachys grew from a family liquor store into one of the most respected names in fine wine retail, auctions and collector services in the United States — and remains a fourth-generation family business today.
The Port Chester location sits at the epicenter of the Tri-State area’s wine trade, housing Zachys’ retail store, temperature-controlled cellar storage for private collectors, and its renowned auction operations under one roof.
To bring that expertise directly to customers, Zachys installed an Enomatic tasting wall featuring 16 wines at a time, refreshed every two weeks, so shoppers can taste before they buy.
Every tasting comes with an incentive: customers who sample a wine on the wall receive a 10% discount when they purchase a bottle, turning the showroom floor into an interactive extension of the buying experience.
Technical Features
The wine station at Zachys is built on Enomatic self-serve dispensing technology, giving customers a guided way to taste before they buy.
Pour + preserve – each bottle is individually preserved under food-grade nitrogen (E941) or argon (E938), with up to 3 configurable pour sizes per bottle.
Chill + display – adjustable temperature zones keep every open bottle at the right serving temperature, with full visibility for guests browsing the line-up.
Control + connect – a color touchscreen and card/RFID reader let guests tap in and pour their own tastes, no server required.
Build + customize – stainless steel, colored or glazed finishes, with customization options available on request.
